Thank you for your question about mixed feeding.

It is possible to offer baby both breastfeeds and bottle feeds of expressed breastmilk or artificial milk, however it is important to bear the following in mind.

You may want to exclusively breastfeed your baby and not expose them to the risks associated with artificial milk.

Baby may prefer bottle feeds and refuse breastfeeds, or feed at the breast in the way that they would feed on a bottle which may lead to nipple soreness/damage etc.

Offering feeds via bottle without expressing your milk may result in a decrease in milk supply.

I attach a download about how to feed baby expressed or artificial milk by methods that don't pose a risk of baby prefering bottle feeds to breastfeeds.

I hope that this is helpful.
