Concerns about stopping breastfeeding in Breastfeeding

Posted by Anonymous on - 1 reply

I have a 9-month old baby. When he was 5 months old, I stopped breast feeding because of chicken pox, and after that he does not drink milk. From the beginning, I given formula milk also with breast milk, because he is not getting enough breast milk. .Can you please let me know if there will be any problems in the future because of insufficient milk supply ? Will he be he healthy in the future?

Thank you for your email about mixed feeding. It's great that you have continued to give breastmilk with the formula milk.

Exclusive breastfeeding has been evidenced to be best for baby, but continuing to give breastmilk - whatever the amount - will continue to be beneficial for baby.

Hope this is helpful.
