Posted by Anonymous on - 1 reply

I haven't breastfed my baby &a she's 9 months old now, I squeezed out some milk. Why am I leaking could I be pregnant? I don't think I am? Is it possible that I could be? Or what's the case?

Thank you for your question about milk appearing in your breasts. It would be fairly normal after stopping breastfeeding to be able to express small amounts of milk when squeezing the breasts or during sexual activity.

If the appearance of milk is accompanied by breast tenderness then it may be a good idea to undertake a pregnancy test, or discuss with your GP/doctor about the possibility of elevated prolactin levels.

Hope this is helpful,
